Green initiative

We recognise that having a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements is paramount.

The fashion industry is under more scrutiny than ever with regard to the impact on the environment. That is why we pride ourselves on our Green Initiative, where we offer our clients environmentally conscious options for production, which minimise the impact on the environment and provide transparency and clarity to the end consumer.

Barcode Tracing

We’ve adopted a unique and innovative project that combines the latest in modern technology with data presentation and consumer transparency.

Using our innovative QR system, our garments can be provided with a hang-tag that has a unique QR code displayed on it. This QR code can be scanned using any smart-phone, and will instantly bring up information about the specific garment. This can include information such as the location the cotton used to produce the garment was harvested from, to the energy saved during the production process.

This is a revolutionary system that gives the end consumer a true insight into the life-cycle of their garment’s production, as well as a true snapshot of their carbon footprint. It gives the end consumer a never-before-seen insight not only into how their garment was made, but also the environmental effects of the production.

Using recycled plastic

We can now produce garments made from recycled plastics.

The process involves breaking down plastic from disposable items such as PET bottles, washing and shredding them to produce plastic chips.

These chips are then melted and extruded into yarn.

Artificial fibers are more durable and because it is completely fabricated by humans, it’s easier to design different properties like water resistance, stain resistance, dyeing in specific colours is easy and you can also make it elastic or wrinkle free, with the added benefit of helping reduce the number of disposable plastics ending up in landfill.
